Kanji
Once the JLPT Grammar material is done, depending on demand I’ll start updating this page.
My goal is to list Kanji here in an easy to learn format.
For lower levels of Japanese ability (N4-N5), I’ll group the Kanji based by:
- Ease to learn
- Usefulness (radicals)
- Frequency
For higher levels of Japanese ability (N1-N3), I’ll group the Kanji by:
- Sound giving radicals
- Frequency
Additionally, I will likely provide example sentences for practice for the higher levels of Japanese ability. Sentences that you can use to practice writing it, review the meaning, and connect it to other Kanji.
This is still a ways in the future, unfortunately. Writing all of the other grammar pages is taking a lot of time. For now you should first and foremost learn what radicals are and the most basic ones and their meanings.
You may consider:
wanikani– Has a cell phone app, but I have never personally used it. Its better to use for beginners.
Heisig – Good for learning radicals and how to use mnemonic devices.
